Quarter Horse Evaluations[/color][/b]
About Quarter Horse Evaluations:
Quarter Horse Evaluations is only one of the many services that we offer the All-SIM community. This service began in March 2010, and is officiated by Kalla Hawk, Administrator & creator of World.Wide.Sims and manager of the All-Sim Quarter Horse Registry.
Evaluations for sim horses in general have been a longstanding tradition and has been seen many times in different forms over the history of sim horse games. Please become familiar with the rules, guidelines, and hints of the Quarter Horse version before posting your Application.
Evaluations are completed once or twice per month, please be patient.
[li] Each member may post FOUR Quarter Horses per month, MAX.
[/li][li] Quarter Horse Evaluations are ONLY for Quarter Horses. No other animals are eligible, no other breeds of horse.
[/li][li] Any WWS member who is active in the ASQHR may request evaluations.
[/li][li] Website URLs or message board URLs are both acceptable, as long as it links to the horse IN your actual BARN.
[/li][li] Horses which are actively showing (in any discipline) are eligible for evaluation and listed under 'Show Horse'.
[/li][li] Horses which are retired to breeding status (and have at least TWO foals) are eligible for evaluation and listed under 'Breeding Horse'.
[/li][li] Any horse which recieves a Failing Grade (less than 50%) may apply again in no less than 3 months.
[/li][li] Any horse which recieves a Grade of 50% or above, may NOT re-apply. Grading is final unless it was a Fail.

Scoring & Evaluation
Horses are scored using a Percentage System, broken down into several categories. Your horse is graded on each category, the numbers are added up to an overall score, and the overall score determines their percentage (out of 100) and results in their final score between 0-100%.
Name (worth 10 points max)
Your horse's name is very important; does it reflect the horse's breeding/pedigree, is it suitable for a Quarter Horse, etc.
Basic Stats Realism (worth 10 points max)
This refers to the Quarter Horse's height, breed, and age; is this horse a Quarter Horse, Appendix QH, Quarab, etc. or did you accidentally link to a Dutch Warmblood? Is this Quarter Horse supposedly 17hh? Are you showing a 1 year old in endurance/cutting/jumping/dressage/reining, or breeding a gelding?
Color & Markings Realism (worth 10 points max)
This is partially based off the parents listed in the pedigree and partially on the recognized colors & patterns (no pintos, no Appaloosa patterns obviously).
Written Description (worth 10 points max)
It is important to display a well-written description of the horse's personality, characteristics, skills, and conformation. Make sure you use a spell-checker.
ASQHR Activity (worth 10 points max)
Your horse's involvement in the Quarter Horse Registry is a major part of this evaluation. HINT: More than 5 shows.
Completed Pedigree (worth 10 points max)
A completed pedigree (either written-out or displayed in a table) is a major factor for the evaluation, whether it's sim horses or RL names.
Origin/History (worth 10 points max)
Is this horse created or bred or purchased from another simmer or traded? Where did the horse come from? Any conditions?
Breeding Information (worth 10 points max)
Whether it is a breeding horse or a showing horse, there must be some sort of information about whether the horse is available for stud/brood or unavailable (such as in the case of a gelding or very young horse).
In addition to the 8 categories above, which are applied to ALL evaluations, your horse will be rated based on 1 of the following:
Active Show Horse, Show Record (worth 20 points max)
The general show record (including ALL clubs) is scored for activity and all-sim involvement.
Breeding Horse, Foal Record (worth 20 points max)
Your stud/brood is scored on the foals (at least 2); realistic stats, URLs, etc.
To expect a better score, ensure that:
- you read the rules (above) and follow them
- your written descriptions of the horse's personality or history or physical attributes have been spell-checked (spelling errors will work against your score)
- your color & markings description in regards to the photo being used is accurate (IF using a photo/drawing), and is realistic for the breed
- he/she has a realistic show record (horses that compete in EVERYTHING generally score lower, it is unrealistic)
- you have supplied working links to any offspring, which will help your score (broken links look bad)
- you have clearly visible displays of any points/title earned in the ASQHR (this is a huge bonus)
Who is eligible to apply?
- Quarter Horse Evaluations are ONLY for Quarter Horses. No other animals are eligible, no other breeds of horse.
- Any WWS member who is active in the ASQHR may post a Quarter Horse for evaluation.
- Quarter Horses of any age/gender/discipline are eligible.
