WWS Public Auction Hall: Rules & Regulations
[li] Offer ALL information available for the horse: stats, pictures, show records, foal information, URL, shows currently entered, etc.
[/li][li] Any conditions or stipulations on the horse (buy-backs, etc) should be clearly communicated.
[/li][li] Tell us if you have a "Starting Bid" in mind (first bidder MUST start at this amount to begin the bidding).
[/li][li] Tell us what/if any "Bidding Increments" you want to see (new bids must be at least $__ more than the last bid).
[/li][li] Give a date/time the auction will end (January 1st around noon or January 1st at 2pm EST). End your auction ON TIME.
[/li][li] If you want a new URL from the buyer, let them know it will be expected within "xx days" OR "xx weeks", etc. [/li][/ul]
The more 'realistic' and accomplished the horse is, the more people will want to bid on the horse. If you put some effort into the horse before posting him/her for auction and you will have FAR more interest. Think about what YOU would want to see in an auction, what information you would like to have before bidding, and what type of auction would be fun to participate in, and what about the horse would really catch your eye - and use those features to make your own auction/horse attractive to other players. Too much color/huge fonts/tiny fonts/giant pictures are NOT easy for anyone to read, so keep your post formatting easy on the eyes and appealing to viewers. Remember, it's all supposed to be FUN! Good luck![/size]
- Be courteous & polite to everyone. Treat others the way YOU want to be treated.
- No fighting/badmouthing/immaturity/hurtfulness will be tolerated at any time.
- List your horse(s) for auction with ALL available info (URL, links to any photos, show records, breeding records, etc)
- This board is NOT intended for TRADES or SALES - it is for AUCTIONS only.
- NOTHING on this board will be advertised for REAL MONEY - sim money ONLY will be accepted.
- Seller DOES NOT reserve the right to choose their buyer in the Auction Hall, or refuse a bidder for any reason.
The Auction Hall is open to ALL buyers/bidders (all WWS members). - If the seller uses a Contract or any Conditions on the auction horse, it should be honored by the buyer.
- Sellers: be CLEAR about any/all conditions (buy-backs, first-refusals, reserved breedings, etc) in your main auction post.
